Equal Ground 2026:
Educate. Engage. Mobilize.
Equal Ground’s 2026 Election & Civic Engagement campaign is a statewide, nonpartisan effort to ensure Floridians—particularly Black voters and historically underrepresented communities—have the information, resources, and opportunities they need to participate confidently in the 2026 election.
Across Florida, we are working with churches, community organizations, HBCUs, Divine Nine organizations, civic groups, neighborhood leaders, and volunteers to meet voters where they are. Our work includes voter education, canvassing, phone banking, community events, faith-based engagement, volunteer training, early-voting outreach, and election protection.
From now through Election Day, there are opportunities for individuals, churches, organizations, and community partners across Florida to get involved. You can volunteer for a phone bank, join a canvass, host a voter-education event, support early-voting activities, help protect access to the ballot, or mobilize voters in your community.
This election, don’t just participate—help your community participate too. Join the Movement - Get informed. Get involved. Make a plan. Make your voice heard. Get Involved in 2026
There are many ways to take action with Equal Ground during the 2026 election cycle. Whether you have five minutes, a few hours, represent an organization, lead a congregation, or simply want to help your community stay informed, there is a place for you in this work.
Arrive With 5 Campaign
Voting is powerful—and bringing others with you expands your impact. Arrive With 5 challenges Floridians to pledge to vote and encourage at least five family members, friends, neighbors, or coworkers to make their voices heard as well. Participants can become ambassadors in their families, workplaces, churches, organizations, and communities by sharing election information and encouraging others to make a voting plan.
Faith in Action: Florida Black Church GOTV Campaign
Faith in Action brings together historically Black denominations, conventions, jurisdictions, districts, conferences, fellowships, churches, pastors, and community partners from across Florida for coordinated, nonpartisan voter engagement. Through voter education, congregation-based outreach, phone banking, community engagement, early-voting activities, and Souls to the Polls, participating churches can help ensure their congregations and communities have the information and resources needed to participate in the election.

Statewide Phone Banking & Canvassing
Help us reach voters directly. Equal Ground volunteers will participate in coordinated statewide phone banks and community canvasses throughout the election cycle. Volunteers will have conversations with voters, share important election information, answer basic questions, distribute voter resources, and encourage Floridians to make a plan to participate. Training, scripts, materials, and voter-contact tools will be provided.
Train the Trainer Campaign
Help us build the people power necessary to reach communities across Florida. Our Train the Trainer program prepares volunteers, organizational partners, and community leaders to lead voter engagement activities within their own networks.
Participants will learn how to facilitate volunteer trainings, conduct voter outreach, use campaign tools and resources, and prepare others to participate in phone banking, canvassing, and community engagement.

Vote Early Day — October 24
On Saturday, October 24, Equal Ground and partners will participate in a coordinated Vote Early Day effort focused on voter education and participation. Activities will include community outreach, voter education, volunteer engagement, and efforts to connect eligible voters with accurate information about early voting. Our targeted engagement includes Orange, Leon, Lee, Broward, Volusia, and Escambia counties, with opportunities for additional communities and partners to participate.

Florida Black Political Empowerment Calls (BPEC)
Our Black Political Empowerment Calls bring together community members, faith leaders, advocates, organizations, and other stakeholders for timely conversations about civic participation and issues affecting Black communities across Florida.
During the election cycle, these calls provide opportunities to receive important election information, learn about upcoming engagement activities, hear from subject-matter experts, and connect with opportunities to take action.

Understanding Your Ballot
Knowing what is on the ballot is an important part of being prepared to vote. Equal Ground's Understanding Your Ballotprogram provides nonpartisan voter education designed to help Floridians better understand the offices, constitutional amendments, local questions, and other items they may encounter on their ballot. Amendment 3 — Black Constituency Community Outreach Campaign
Equal Ground is leading Black constituency outreach related to Amendment 3, a proposed constitutional amendment concerning Florida property taxes. The proposal would increase the homestead exemption for non-school taxes to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028, with additional provisions affecting property assessments and local taxation.
Our campaign is focused on ensuring Black communities have access to information about the proposal and its potential effects on residents, local governments, and community services. Through community education, organizational partnerships, faith engagement, events, and voter outreach, we are creating opportunities for Floridians to learn more and participate in the conversation.
We need trusted voices from communities across Florida engaged in this effort.
