Florida’s 2025-2026 Fiscal Year Budget Proposal Toplines

Take a look at the Toplines and tax package proposed by Florida legislators. The budget will now be sent to Governor Ron DeSantis, who will have to act quickly. With the new fiscal year set to begin on July 1, the Governor will have just days to decide whether he will sign the budget as agreed upon in a bipartisan effort by the Legislature, or use his authority to veto the entire package or remove select appropriations.
His decision will determine whether Florida avoids a funding crisis and whether the last-minute compromises made during this extended session will stand. We will sep dive this budget in a July virtual event once it has been signed.
