As a voting rights organization dedicated to empowering citizens to exercise their right to vote and get civically engaged, we commend the Florida Supreme Court for upholding the principles of democracy and enabling these two ballot initiatives to move forward for voters to decide on in the 2024 General Election. For too long Tallahassee politicians have ignored the will of voters and neglected their plea for laws and policies that best serve them. Today’s decision allows voters an opportunity to weigh in on these critical issues and shape the future of our state.Â
We urge all Floridians to educate themselves about these ballot initiatives and exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections. Together, we can create a more just and equitable society where every voice is heard, and every vote counts.
