2026 Day at the Capitol

Equal Ground and Clergy Day at the Capitol will take place on February 4, 2026 in Tallahassee, FL. This will be an opportunity to commune with other community leaders, meet with legislators around important issues in person and participate in other advocacy activities.

This two-day trip will consist of meetings with Florida legislators, an opportunity to attend and speak at committee hearings as well as meet Florida organizations working to fight to protect some key issues like criminal justice, education, voting rights and the environment.

Please note, that each person must individually register. Children are allowed to attend with a guardian or parent present. No person can register for an entire group

Tuesday, February 3, 2026 (If You Are Driving)

3:00 PM – Hotel check-in (for those staying overnight)
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Opening Reception

During the Opening Reception, each partner organization will have an opportunity to briefly introduce your organization and the work you are doing.

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 – Day at the Capitol

8:00 AM – Arrival, Registration, and Breakfast

8:00 AM – 8:45 AM – Breakfast (in front of City Hall)
9:00 AM – 9:45 AM – Equal Ground Day at the Capitol Rally
10:00 AM – Group and Regional Photos (Old Capitol Steps)

Midday & Afternoon

10:30 AM – 3:45 PM – Legislative meetings, committee meetings, House floor observation, and position paper drop-offs
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM – Lunch
