This year's legislative session will be one of the most consequential in the history of our state of Florida. Legislators will pass bills that preempt local government, incentivize law enforcement recruitment, attack voting rights, and censor the truth of American history by limiting conversations about race, privilege, and oppression.
Equal Ground and our partner Democracy for All invite residents throughout Florida to join us on Wednesday, March 29, 2022 in the state's Tallahassee for our annual "Day at the Capitol" or DAC, a day of meetings with legislators, committee hearings and an opportunity to learn about multiple bills that could impact generations. We will provide transportation for those who need it and meals throughout the day. For all questions please contact our Field Manager Justin Jones at justin@equal-ground.com.
