Pastor Marcus McCoy Jr.

Pastor Marcus R. McCoy, Jr., serves as Equal Grounds Education Fund Faith Outreach State Director. McCoy comes to Equal Ground after serving as the youngest and only African-American male Director for the nations largest school choice program.


McCoy’s community and congregational work was highlighted in 2015 when he served as one of the lead organizers of the nationally recognized “Rally in Tally”, the nations largest educational choice demonstration that organized and mobilized over 10,000 students, parents, teachers, faith and community leaders to march for justice and educational equality in the states capitol of Tallahassee, FL.


McCoy holds a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and Philosophy and a Masters of Transformational Leadership from Bethune-Cookman University. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate of Education from Capella University.


McCoy serves as the Senior Pastor of the historic Greater Refuge Memorial Church in Downtown Orlando, FL.
